Review by Don Ely Bob played but four songs on guitar, and I see that since Montreal the set has shortened to 16 songs instead of 17, so I guess it's the fifth guitar number that's left out. " I'll Be Your Baby Tonight " was a strong performance. By the time Zim was ready to throttle the keyboard his voice had smoothed out. " The Levee's Gonna Break " I thought was superior to Bethel, and " My Back Pages " was a nice little surprise. I actually got up twice to use the plumbing and buy the poster, and I never do that during the set. A swaggering " 'Til I Fell In Love With You " provided welcome contrast in the latter half of the gig.?? (Bob Links) |
