The Show went on with Watching the River Flow with Bob on guitar. By the end of the song the crowd got some of the "good ol' characteristic" Bob-picking-the-electric guitar. Then followed the first peak of this high level artistic show: Simple Twist of Fate, simply just a gentle, sweet, perfect version of this song. And had the show ended here, it would still been a success. Tweedle Dee came up next. I have never been too impressed of this song, but in fact it was quite good. The next peak - a rarity in general: I Believe in You. I must admit that I normally skip this song when I listen to Slow Train. It's just not good to my ears. But tonight it was a heavenly version - nothing less. Then came Till I Fell in Love With You, it was nice - and was followed by the third peak: Trying To Get To Heaven. It was quite a different version, but still as natural and strong as the original version. No more peaks in my point of view - but still a lot of enjoyment throughout the show with brilliant shifts between rock'n'roll and ballads - and lots of harp. This show was professional, giving Art at its best! As always - if you don't like Bob Dylan, don't go to his show. To the rest of you throughout Europe: This tour ain't promising - it's great! Don't miss this opportunity the experience the true artist: Bob Dylan

Bob sang the songs, the band played the music, and at the predictable moments - how does it feel - the crowd sort of reacted. Tried to get up close, but never close enough to actually establish that it was Dylan up there. It was a very casual and routine presentation of Dylan. The sound was okay, and when everyone applauded, it was just like watching YouTube. Next time, instead of taking the family, I'll treat myself to a nice jazz guitar. Tomorrow is Hamburg. And then some other place. Dylan is the best - his concert in Copenhagen was,
well, a little boring.

So it goes. I haven't mentioned any highlights yet. I could do that, of course. HWY61. AATW. Love-0 was wonderfully slow. Summer Days was as good as I ever heard it. Even Memphis Blues, which I otherwise can hardly stand, was extremely enjoyable, almost incredibly good. I could go on, but that would just ruin my point (which I've already indicated): that it was a brilliant CONCERT. Fair enough, we didn't get any D-Row, and I can't really point to places where Dylan proved himself to be the demi-god, the descendant of Orpheus and Terpsichore, of Jubal and Erato, of Zeus and some cow in Gallup, New Mexico that he certainly is, and, by way of a phrase or a plonk from his divine piano, turned it into an unforgettable evening; that it still turned out that way was a happy coincidence involving a highly human icon (who had one too many harmonicas to keep track of), two guitar players who just keep on exciting with their differences; a rhythm section who somehow uphold both tact and tone; a magnificent sound on the 56th row; and great company.
