Mitte September 74 Ging Robert Zimmermann ans Telefon, wählte eine andere New Yorker Nummerund sagte
,, Let´s do a record". In NY gibt es rund 1400 Studio A´s. Gebucht wurde Columbia. 1962 war dort die erste LP von ihm entstanden. Eric Weissberg, Richard Crooks, Charlie Brown (Die`Deliverance`), Paul griBuddy Cage ( New Riders of The Purple Sage) an der Steel Guitar: Die Begleitmusiker. Phil Ramone besorgte die Technik. Einen Produzenten gab es nicht. John Hammond Senior und Mick Jaggerschauten und hörten manchmal zu. Der Stones - boss liess am Schliuss Champagner springen, fast alle waren blau.Erst sollte auf das Cover eine rote Rose. Dann kam´s anders.Der Schriftsteller Pete Hamill: ,, The Album is just fucking wonderful".

SHELTER

'Twas in another lifetime,
one of toil and blood
When blackness was a virtue
and the road was full of mud
I came in from the wilderness
a creature void of form.
"Come in," she said, "I'll give you shelter from the storm."

...
Not a word was spoke between us, there was little risk involved
Everything up to that point
had been left unresolved.
Try imagining a place
where it's always safe and warm.
"Come in," she said,"I'll give you
shelter from the storm."
